I was away at a conference for a week (to the tune of much angsting, even more drama, and finding myself within handshake distance of a complete mental breakdown). It was awful, stressful, cold, and I missed my other half like crazy.
( But it gets better! )

So, this is my kitten!squee post. My wife and I are finally getting her to come out of her shell - she's started jumping on heads, chasing ankles, eating fingers, knocking things over, and making a general nusiance of herself. I love cats. ^.^

I'm a bit of an odd duck (no comments from the peanut gallery, please) when it comes to music. Pretty much any type has its own appeal, imho, but my absolute favorite, bar none, is steampunk.

In this vein: The Electro Swings.

OH MY GOD, PEOPLE.

Go, listen. They're Twenties-style jazz with a steampunk-electric twist, and AMAZING. The album is Steampunk, ten incredible songs, and fairly cheap on iTunes. My favorite song has to be Steampunk in the Rain. Or Airship Swing. Or possibly Clockwork and Tesla Is Knockin' At My Door. Great beats, great rhythms, and gorgeous, gorgeous music all around. Just yum.
